4,3% fuel economy savings for Parmentier Autobus by using Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30!
Belgian company Parmentier Autobus from Waregem, has a fleet of 20 busses used for public transport. One of their MAN/Van Hool bus engines was already lubricated with a synthetic 10W40. Although this oil delivered good performances, Parmentier Autobus is always interested in minimizing emissions and decreasing fuel consumption. It has already been proven several times, using Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 leads to fuel savings and minimized emissions. We wanted to prove this with a waterproof test on their MAN/Van Hool bus.
Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 has the right approvals for the MAN/Van Hool bus, which is MAN M 3477. The structural composition of this high-performance engine oil favors reduced engine friction and hence leads to a measurable decrease in fuel consumption and reduced oil temperature helping for a better oil performance retention. Excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics of Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 are also demonstrated by its outstanding cold-start behavior and reduced engine wear at high temperatures.
Parmentier Autobus monitors and analyses the fuel consumption closely with sophisticated software. Three months after the changeover to Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30, the fuel consumption was already decreased by 4.3 percent, compared to the last two months on their previous oil.
This 4.3% fuel savings was the sign for Parmentier Autobus to change their whole fleet over to Mobil Delvac LE 5W-30.
