The numbers are staggering

The 1.6 litre V6 hybrid engine contains more than 4,000 moving parts lubricated by Mobil 1 — from the internal combustion engine to the turbo and the MGU. That turbocharger can reach temperatures of 950°C and spin at up to 125,000 rpm. The oil circulates through the engine up to nine times per minute. And with each car limited to just three engines across a 24-race season, reliability is everything. An ExxonMobil trackside technician analyses more than 1,100 oil samples per season.
