How Much Engine Oil Does My Car Need?

What if the amount is wrong?
Too much oil increases pressure and friction on the crankshaft, accelerates engine wear and burns excess fuel. Too little oil leads to insufficient lubrication, more friction and a risk of overheating and engine damage. Aim for an oil level close to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Mixing different engine oils is fine, as long as both oils are suitable for your vehicle and recommended by the manufacturer.
